Green Heron in Marsh by Heron Rookery August 15, 2010

After leaving the osprey nest Frank noticed a duck in the marsh. We got out hoping to see something and well we did a couple of green herons. They were deep in the branches but I did get a few shots of them. Great day again. make sure you double click to enlarge these photos as the Green Heron is quite small.They are 18 inches with a wing span of 46 inches.
