Peregrine Falcon new baby Harlequin born - Sunday May 29, 2011 -

Quest and Kendal have new eyas Sunday May 29, 2011. Little Harlequin. Saw it at only a few hours old at the site. Thanks Donna for an amazing view. Talk about an exciting day.



Birds Kingdom at Niagara Falls May 16, 2011


As part of the trip to Niagara Falls Julie took me to the Bird Kingdom. It was great seeing all the birds flying around. The bird above liked sitting on Julies head and was pulling her hair. Fun

For Mothers Day Julie took me to Niagara Falls to the Bird Sanctuary and the Butterfly conservatory. We had a wonderful time. A few photos from the second part of the trip. Thanks Julie I had a wonderful time.

Wexford Red-Tailed Hawks being chased by RWBB May 25, 2011


Poor hawks were being harassed by red-winged blackbirds, robins and crows. They couldn't even sit on a branch for a minute without being attacked.




Peregrine Falcons babies -SHERATON CENTRE- May 24 2011

I was fortunate to be invited to the Sheraton for the banding of the peregrine falcon babies. 4 healthy babies were brought in. Amazing to see them.

21 day old Kate - 770 grams (yes we have our own Kate and William) Female

21 day old William - 605 grams (males always way less than females) Male

16 day old Cinnamon - 315 grams Male ( don't worry not a lump but a full crop of food on the neck. Was just fed by adults.)
