Wood Stork with babies in Florida

A amazing sighting Wood Storks with babies.  At Wako there wee many babies and all were crying for food

Incredible LIFER for me.  I have seen wood storks but not young.  Amazing there were all different sizes as well as mating for more babie.  Wood Storks are endangered birds in Florida.  At the one rookery they have taken over almost all the nest that used to be great egrets and great blue heron.  But what a thrill to see them thrive.

Mom and the babies.

Much older babies but mom stays with them.

Love how male protects female on nest

Gathering branches for their nest
