Driving from Holiday Beach to Jack Miner in Kingsville we saw Red-Tailed Hawk and also many Egrets and Great Blue Herons. We were thrilled about the egrets. Gave us a chance to look at the map and try and figure out where we were. Lost again
At Jack Miner Sanctuary we were lucky to see the Barnacle goose. What a treat. I haven't been to the sanctuary since I was a little girl.
Back at Point Pelee we were treated to the great lighting of the marsh and then with a little luck we heard this strange sound - yes the great horned owl. The young do not hoot more like a Yeckkkkkkkkk (bring me food). The shots were taken at 6:15 just before dark.
