Red Shoulder Hawk, Northern Shrike Oct 29, 2010

Was hoping for more hawks today but we did see a nice number of Red Shoulder Hawks, Red Tailed Hawks, 4 Merlins and more.

Cave Swallows a lifer Oct 28, 2010

After work I stopped in at the hawk watch. Very few hawks flying but a surprise was around the bend. Cave Swallows. Seldom seen in Ontario but we had a couple of groups of them go past. NICE. Good call Frank.

Friendly local red tail gave me a nice show. This juvenile will soon be migrating.
