Varied Thrush Feb 7 2010

What a amazing coloured bird the varied thrush is. He was in full sunlight in the tree for a good 20 min. I was not able to take any great shots. This was a lifer for me.
Frank and I started the day at Ravenshoe and saw 3 snowies, snow buntings, red tail and northern shrike. Just down the road were 2 coyotes in the field. Followed directions on the Ont Bird site and saw another snowie on Bathhurst. Final stop was the varied thrush.
