Limpkin - adult and juvenile Florida Feb 2014

  • The Limpkin, Aramus guarauna, is a bird that looks like a large rail but is skeletally closer to cranes. Thanks to our guide Kathryn we saw two limpkin in a tree, a juvenile in the marsh and two more adults on the canal.  This is a lifer for me as well.
