American Bittern - May 4, 2013

This is not something I had dreamed of seeing. A total surprise and a total thrill of a lifetime. The Bittern was calling in the distance. Walking and watching and finally I saw him. Carol came and we watched him moving forward in the marsh towards us. At one point I could only get his head in the photo. Then he walked across the road. YES can you imagine.
