House Wren, Flower and Kestrel Sept 8 2009

Went to the hawk watch today and saw American Kestrels and Sharp Shinned Hawks. Also at the park was a wren and eastern kingbird.

At the hawk watch

Went to watch the hawks at Rosetta McLean Park and saw a cooper land in a tree. Also passing over were sharp shinned hawks, osprey and a broadwing Hawk.
At home I was downloading the photos when I looked out and saw a cooper hawk under the bird feeder walking back and forth. He then flew into the tree. Came back looking for food a couple more times over the evening.

Ruby Throated Hummingbirds in my garden.

Today I had 3 migrating hummingbirds in my garden. They were sucking up the nector for 15-20 min then gone. My 5 regulars hummingbirds are still here.
