Red Fox - this year juvenile July 24 2011

What a treat to see this young fox by the house. He was sitting across the road not a care in the world having a scratch. He stretched and then took off. I estimate a 5 month old (born the end of Feb) and he had the most amazing red colour and markings.

Juvenile Red-Tailed hawks in Wexford July 17 2011

Juvenile Red-Tail Hawk Charlene (female) captured a rat in the field. She was enjoying the tail on the rat. (I did a double check to see if any rats were near me as I only had on flip flops)

Gary, Diane and I were thrilled to see both juveniles today. They looked hot but very healthy.

Quest - Female Peregrine Falcon July 13, 2011

Quest is the female peregrine falcon. She is relentless with pushing the young Harlequin to fly and learn. She also drives poor Kendal the male nuts constantly to find food.

This is a series of shots of Harlequin flying off the roof of the 220 building. No adults with him. Within a minute he was sitting on top of the Harlequin Building. Fast, and beautiful.
