Oh what a day. Carol and I started at the heron rookery and were totally amazed to see over 200 herons. They were flying in the air above the rookery - looked like a kettle of great blue herons with the legs dangling down. In the fields there were hundreds lined up like posts and in the woods. The rookery was full of herons and they were flying in and out with branches. Very Very exciting and honestly no photos would show what we saw.
