So we continued on the road looking for some other birds. We arrived at one of my favourite spot to see hunting hawks (at first we assumed they were harriers because of the behaviour), to then realizing we had hit the jackpot on Rough-legged hawks. At one point we could see 9 of them, hovering and hunting in the field. A couple came close enough that we could see that they were both light and dark morphed. What a thrill. Over 1.5 hours pass when we finally move on. A sight that one rarely sees.
