Carol and I braved the wicked winds of the east to go and see if we could find some owls. Luckily one gentleman had found one so we were able to enjoy watching it for a while. On the way home I have been hearing about this hooded merganser (his hairdo was so cute). Carol and I stopped for a bit and there he was in the midst of mallards.
Today we saw many red tails, harriers, barred owl, hoodie, mallards, buffleheads, common mergansers, long tails, harry woodpecker, tundra, mute and trumpeter swans, one raven and a murder of crows. Also saw a fox in front of my house - nice looking full and bushy.
