Spider Webs and Backyard Birds Oct 8 2011
Lots of birds around my house, Ruby Throated Hummingbird - female is still at the feeders, cardinals, blue jays, and many more.
I enjoyed the spider web on the front tree today as well.
Hudsonian Godwit, Wilson Snipes, Swans
Peter and I went out to see the Hudsonian Godwit at Frenchmans Bay. Luckily we saw it immediately. If you go out there were high boots. Very muddy. Also seen were 3 Wilson Snipes at Sobeys Pond.

Pie Billed Grebe, Snow Goose and Cardinal
This is from a few weeks ago when Carol and I went to Reesor Pond. Ran into Norm at the spot and we were very pleased to see a bald eagle circling the pond. Other highlight was a single snow goose.

And what better way than to see a juvenile peregrine falcon fly overhead.
On Saturday alone we saw 7, 500 hawk, eagles, ospreys, harrier fly by. You stand at the edge of the field and you see birds flying every which way. On top of that the woods surrounding the watch was filled with warblers, songbirds, and more.
A terrific few days. We stayed at the Port Stanley Beach Hotel and I loved the fact that sitting in the room you could see TV's flying everywhere. Nice place with excellent food.
