Thanks to Cape Coral Police Department - Officer Keith Nabozny -
Donna Janet and I were able to see this beautiful pair of bald eagles just at golden hour.

Pair on the nest.

Male brings in fish for supper.  They share the food.

Another eagle

Donna spotted the pair of eagles in Lakeland.

This eagle was on the poles when you enter Merritt Island.
A lot of eagle sighting.  Some great views but the nest shots are my favourite.

American avocet from Florida 2015

A long billed long legged shorebird the avocet.  We saw over 200 feeding at Merritt Island.

A bald eagle goes overhead and everyone leaves

Love the angle of head

Wings

Not a new sighting but always a great sighting.

Anhingas making a nest in Florida 2015

Many people do not like Anhingas but I do.   Look at the eye colour, marking on the back.
Going under to get reeds for nest

A stick exchanged

The male anhinga is bringing in stickes for the nest.

Alligator eating a coot - Florida 2015

First time ever seeing this.  An alligator eating a coot.
I had no idea how they did it but it was both gross and exciting to watch.

You can tell it is a coot by the legs.

Too many people going by so he went back into the lake.  Yes he was that close I could only get head shots. This is a young gator.  Maybe 3-5 years old.

Another gator just around the corner

Like this one on the long

Here was my fav shot.  You see the gator coming then poof gone

Gone.
