Red Tailed Hawk - Western- Flight Workshop May 31, 2010

Most people who know me know that my favourite hawk is the red tailed hawk. I love the tail colour, speed, characteristics and most of all the haunting call. Shauna was the falconer.

Barn Owl - Flight workshop May 31

Ok this little beauty was so fast that the first two times I missed her completely. Short fast and utterly beautiful. James was flying the owl and gave us plenty of time to get shots. I only had a few turn out - but I really like the magic hour effect.

Great horned owl - Year old - May 31, 2010

The Great Horned Owl - one year old was brought out for perched shots. The ear tuffs and the colours were made to take photos of. Later I will have more shots of a 10 week old Great Horned Owl.

The Eagle has landed - May 31, 2010

Beverley the bald eagle was again a beautiful bird. Huge and very strong. You may have seen her on some of the nature shows. She was the eagle flying off the bluffs. James is the falconer for Beverley.

This is still from the photography workshop. The highlight was when James brought out in a bucket the baby barn owl. I was so thrilled to see one.
